Elizabeth and Kathryn Fortunato, the designers behind bohemian-luxe jewelry line Lizzie Fortunato, recently found themselves inspired by a trip to India and the mesmerizing craftsmanship, textures, and textiles they saw. In what Elizabeth describes as a "Grey Gardens meets Great Expectations moment," she envisioned the nostalgic aftermath of an exotic party and conjured up some jewelry to match. Their spring '10 Kfirziv-shot lookbook is full of twisted, beaded, and frayed jewelry with a raw, organic quality like the geometric Crumblino Castles necklace made with fabrics and metals and the Sun Also Rises necklace made with plates of leaf-shaped gold. Add a little embroidery, some beautiful knotted rope, and a spectrum of colors taken from the Mumbai sunset itself, and you've got yourself a vacation you can wear.
