Local Jewelry Line ROARKE Goes Aztec Warrior!

roarke-aztec-web

Laetitia Stanfield and Mignonne Gavigan both took a major gamble when they launched jewelry line
ROARKE
(named after the protagonist in Ayn Rand's The Fountainhead ) last year, seeing as they both had pretty rad jobs: Stanfield was the contemporary womenswear buyer at Bergdorf Goodman and Gavigan was a designer at FORM. It seems like the risk paid off since we've spotted the beaded chiffon scarf necklaces from their debut line on both society swans uptown at Bilboquet and glittering in some dark, dark corners at Lit. We love their unique take on our fave winter accessory, with bib necklaces crafted from sequins, glass beads, and costume gems on a chiffon backing. For their latest offerings, the gals went tribal with some awesome Aztec-inspired necklaces and bracelets, with seed-bead embellishments in both the traditional Mexican colors and amped-up day-glo hues that work equally well over a beater and jeans or paired with your fave LBD. If you can't jet off to Tulum quite yet, ROARKE's statement gems just may be the next best thing.
