Sorry Cumberbitches: Spencer Hart Has Cancelled Its London Collection Show

Cast your minds back to the London menswear shows last June, and you'll remember that Savile Row's suavest tailor Spencer Hart stole the show by parading Benedict Cumberbatch down its runway.
Barefoot and donning a loosely tied black silk robe while toting a cigar and swigging a glass of single malt, the Sherlock actor told journos backstage that he was channelling his inner Hugh Hefner. And guess what? We reckon the Playboy octogenarian must have felt pretty threatened by Cumberbatch's so-slick-it-hurts-us-a-little performance.
Sadly, those hoping for a replay during Spencer Hart's scheduled show today as part of London Collections: Men will be shocked, saddened, and at the least a little sulky to hear that the tailor has been forced to cancel its catwalk event.

According to reports, the Savile Row stalwart has been forced to pull out due to production problems, meaning that it didn't have a full collection of samples to present to the press. That, or Hugh Hefner sabotaged the event for fear of a repeat robe performance.
Still, let's not get too down-hearted. The London Collections schedule is packed with celeb-tastic male modelling potential. We've got our money on Bradley Wiggins making an appearance at Liam Gallagher's Pretty Green event tonight, and Romeo Beckham has surely got to be the show opener at Burberry tomorrow morning. And if all else fails, there's always David Gandy to strut his stuff...
