The rampant violence of the rioting in London over the past couple of days has devolved into opportunistic criminality, with youths (most between the ages of 15 and 30) looting neighborhood shops. Among the stores hit were mass department store Debenhams, Adidas, TJ Maxx, shoe company Kurt Geiger, and electronics store Currys (Said Clapham Resident to The Sun, "I saw a boy with trainers he stole go back to the shop. He was saying to his mates that he had taken the wrong size.") Interestingly enough, no luxury stores have reported looting. Louis Vuitton and Smythson, despite having their windows shattered, did not report any further damage. (WWD)
