Lorde-y, Lorde-y! Look Who’s Got Straight Hair

Seeing a singer without their signature look is like spotting a glorious unicorn. Or, at least that's what it feels like when we see Taylor Swift without her red lip, Ariana Grande without her ponytail, or Lorde sans-curls. Between having BFF Swifty's back and turning 18, Lorde found time to straighten her hair. Like, really straighten it. In fact, Lorde's mane looks like it was blown-out, and then had a long date with a flat iron. With all of the hair she has, we can't imagine this styling sesh was a quickie.

What's interesting is that we've seen Lorde with her hair styled like this already. She debuted it at this year's Grammy Awards — although it did start to curl again post-performance (perhaps she was sweating bullets being photographed next to queen Bey).

But, even though we've seen it straight before, this ain't no parlor trick — we're still pleasantly surprised each time. So, if you can't get her coils, why not try her blowout? Just make sure you're following proper technique — and blasting Pure Heroine at full volume.
