Party With Green-Living Gals At Luri & Wilma’s Launch Bash

lwmagslide
We're all for trying to green-ify our lives: We cruise around on two wheels, support our local farmers' market, and try to reuse and recycle as much as possible. But sometimes, the origins of our coveted fashion, beauty, and lifestyle products are less than ideal. To help women everywhere lead stylish lives with eco-conscious values, a pair of lady pals got together to launch lifestyle mag Luri & Wilma (all online, obvi — no dead trees here). And, lest you assume that a beautifully photographed mag that blends fashion, food, and profiles of earth-friendly organizations and people must hail from San Francisco or L.A. — Luri & Wilma is based right here in D.C. and focuses heavily on local retailers and hometown happenings.
The mag's big fall fashion issue drops soon, so the ladies are throwing a launch party plus a pop-up market on Saturday evening to celebrate. The soirée will be in the newly expanded Ginger Root Design boutique, and will feature vintage shopping from Butler & Claypool and Miskabelle Vintage, so you can be as recycled chic as the mag's models. A $5 ticket includes drinks and Crunkcakes, plus a tote bag and raffle entry.
When: Saturday, September 15, from 7-9 p.m.
Where: Ginger Root Design, 1530 U Street NW; 202-567-7668.
