Mad Delicious: Tim Burton-Designed Menu Lands At LACMA

For all of you Tim Burton fans out there (and, really, who isn’t?), there’s a new way to experience the amazing Tim Burton LACMA exhibit. The creative genius behind some of our favorite flicks has teamed up with LACMA eatery Ray’s and Stark Bar to deliver a custom menu that riffs on his cinematic oeuvre. The bar will be offering a special concoction called the Dr. Burton—inspired by Burton’s fave soda, Dr. Pepper—filled with ingredients like rum, cherry herring, Disarono, and Amaro Ciociar. And come with an empty tummy
à la Charlie Bucket, so you can snack on two dishes designed by the director: razor clams in squid-olive broth, $16, and white rabbit with tea in a mushroom forest, $27. Of course, while you’re there, you’ve got to take in the exhibit, but with food this good, this groundbreaking show just might have to take second billing.

LACMA, 5905 Wilshire Boulevard (at Fairfax Avenue); 323-857-6000.
