MaLi Beads, a native Miamian jewelry brand, mixes equal parts Malian African culture with our penchant for stacking and layering bright-colored baubles. Just check out their latest collection, which features intense braided BFF bracelets with punky spikes daringly bearing outward. With the inception of their latest campaign, MaLi Love (#MaLiLove to those on the Twitters), the duo will send a free MaLi bracelet to anyone who donates directly to the cause. To raise awareness, the girls behind MaLi (Mallory and Lianne, making an apt portmanteau) use the country's eight regions for their own design inspirations.
While the whole homemade bracelet thing is verging on overexposure, MaLi manages to shake up the faded trend with snake embellishments, gold-filled necklaces, and neon-laced chains (not to mention a feel-good-look-good-too cause), all for prices that keep us dying to have a major summer party. A summer arm party, of course.
