Here's something you don't want to hear in the winter: Layering can go wrong. Very wrong. Ideally, we strive to look balanced and interesting (not like we're wearing everything we own) and, thankfully, Margaret Zhang acts as our most recent source of inspiration.
While hidden in her one ensemble is possibly two or three other single-layer outfits, the whole is actually so much more rad than any one single piece. Pants under skirt, jacket over top under other jacket...Zhang makes it work by keeping her silhouette slim and streamlined, subtly mixing textures, and adding just the right amount of eye-catching color.
