Marion Cotillard Pictures- Rust And Bone Premiere

It has been nearly five years since Marion Cotillard stunned the international fashion community with her exquisite Gaultier gown on the night of her first Oscar nomination and subsequent win. Since then, she can do no wrong: From artsy editorials to debuting Raf Simons for Dior and consistently stepping up her style game, Cotillard has always been one to watch on the red carpet.

Now, she is entering her fourth year as the face for Lady Dior, and her love affair with the brand doesn't seem to slow down. She chatted with us at a screening of her new movie, Rust And Bone, a passionate story about a handicapped whale trainer. At the preview, hosted by The Cinema Society with Dior and Vanity Fair, she appeared in an airy sequined gown made by (who else) Dior. Not only did she share the experience of being the face of such a hallowed and luxurious brand, but also let us know that, for her, it isn't just about loving the French and Italians, of course.

You've always done well on the red carpet, but we must admit, recently, you've really just been doing amazingly.
"Thank you! I try."

As the face of Miss Dior, you throw yourself into that role so completely, and your ads are so full of life. What challenges have you had and what do you like about becoming the embodiment of such a storied brand?

"I have a very beautiful relationship with this house, and it's always been very creative. That's what I wanted, that's what they proposed to me when they came to ask me if I wanted to work with them. It's been four years now, and we find new things to do, and I love being very creative with them."

With your relationships with Chanel and Dior, it is easy to associate you with classic, storied fashion brands. Are there any contemporary designers that you're really excited about?
"Yeah...I always forget names when I'm asked. Oh, I'm so bad at this! What can I say? Everything is mashed in my brain. Oh, Tsumori Chisato. I just love her."
