Adam Levine, the lead singer of Maroon 5 is launching a clothing line this fall. The collection is called 222 (his lucky number) and will feature simple silhouettes in luxe fabrics for men and women. Levine, who admits to being obsessed with high-end labels like Balenciaga, YSL, and Ann Demeulemeester, has partnered up with long-time stylist Aristotle Circa and his father, Fred Levine who owns the successful L.A. retail chain M. Frederic. You might remember that Maroon 5's multi-platinum album, Songs About Jane, was about Jane Herman, Levine's high school sweetheart and former Vogue fashion writer (she now has a plum job as Director of Concept under Patrick Robinson at The Gap) and he was linked to model Anne Vyalitsyna earlier this year. While we'll have to see more of the clothing to really know how we feel about it, one this is clear: Levine likes fashion as much as he likes fashionable women. (WWD)
