Max Azria's empire just keeps on growing and growing. The owner of Herve Leger and BCBG has just purchased a significant share in German department store chain Karstadt. The Los Angeles-based chief executive said he fell for the real estate and loved "the idea of an American company buying Germany's largest department store chain." Since his collection with Wal-Mart and Miley Cyrus has been a success for mass America, we can only imagine that this is a huge step that will continue the high-low expansion of Max Azria Inc. (WWD)
