Meet The Authors Of Hotly Anticipated Local-Foodie Tome, Mission Street Food

Bookworms and foodies, listen up! The chance to finally get a copy of the highly anticipated and locally themed book Mission Street Food: Recipes and Ideas From An Improbable Restaurant (McSweeney’s) is upon us! And not only can you scoop up the memoir-meets-cookbook, which includes lush photography, lots of space dedicated to the perfect fried chicken, plus an “idealistic business plan," you can also meet the authors behind it! This Wednesday, Noe Valley’s super-cute, food-themed Omnivore Book Shop is hosting the book’s launch with authors and restaurant owners, Anthony Myint and Karen Leibowitz, who will be on hand to discuss the recipes nestled in the tome, plus the laugh-out-loud comic strip illustrations. Expect the (relatively tiny) house to be absolutely packed!
When: Wednesday, August 31, 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Where: Omnivore Books On Food, 3885a Cesar Chavez Street
(at Church Street); 415-282-4712.
