Wow. We did not expect this one. Get ready to put on a major sad face, folks. Iconic Union Square shop Metier is closing up shop in three weeks. Just a few minutes ago, the boutique sent out an email blast telling its fans about the bummer news.
"After 21 years of fashion and fun, it is with a heavy heart that I have decided to close Metier," owner Sheri Evans (one of S.F.'s coolest moms) writes. "Thank you for an amazing ride and the love and loyalty so many of you have shown us throughout the years. We have learned about your lives and heard so often how what we do makes your day richer and your walk more confident."
The shop will "keep a small online presence for jewelry" and Evans might launch a new project in 2013. Until then, folks can swoop in and pick up all the goods in the shop (some baubles included) for 50-80% off today, Thursday, July 5th, until the store's last day on Saturday, July 21st. We suggest heading over there stat to send Metier (and yourself) off in true style.
