Sunday nights are usually reserved for movies, at-home manis, and prepping for the week ahead (at least in our worlds), but this weekend, things are getting a little weird-and-wonderful at the Georgetown waterfront. The third annual Midsummer Night's Dream fantasy show takes place on Sunday at Washington Harbor, hosted by the founders of Art Soiree, and it promises to be an extra-creative experience.
What does a "fantasy show" entail, exactly? Think live models painted to resemble fairies from Shakespeare's work, a Bellagio-style dancing fountain, a runway show with epic hair and makeup from Roche Salon, and a DJ set accompanied by a live cello, saxophone, and trumpet. Add a live performance by Synetic Theater artists and you've got a pretty surreal Sunday night.
When: Sunday, August 12, from 7 p.m. to midnight.
Where: Washington Harbor, 3050 K Street NW; no phone. Tickets are $15 online and $20 at the door.
