The newly revamped
Bon Appetit
magazine (which we're sort of obsessed with...) just came out with its list of the 10 Best New Restaurants in America. Obviously, with San Francisco somewhat ruling the culinary scene at the moment, we weren't surprised to see one of our local eateries on the list. (We were perhaps more surprised to see only one!) In any case, who made the cut? None other than smokin'-hot resto Mission Chinese Food, which has recently received lots of hype both locally and across the country. The taco truck-turned-pop-up restaurant-turned-cult-followed eatery is lauded for its "out-of-this-world creative (and seriously delicious) Sichuan-inspired dishes," like cumin lamb belly, warm egg custard with duck confit and sea urchin, and made-to-order hot-and-sour pork dumplings.
