When it comes to our faces, we don’t rely on just anyone to tell us what our skin needs to get that ever-elusive glow. Instead, we turn to skin-care veteran (and celebrity fave!) We all want to save money wherever we can —particularly if you’ve outdone yourself with some holiday shopping this year! But, not at the exception of compromising quality or a radiant end result. Never use cotton balls for your toner or eye makeup remover.
They’re thick, cumbersome, and absorb too much liquid product, wasting the excess your skin can’t absorb. Instead, use a thin, cotton pad that won't leave behind cotton fibers. This way, you’ll use less product, whether it be toner, eye makeup, or nail polish removers.

Always keep your alcohol-free toner damp before applying moisturizer.
Leaving it damp on the skin offers two benefits: The first is that your serum or moisturizer applied after seals in all the hydrating benefits of the toner, giving your skin a drink of much-needed moisture. Second, your moisturizer lasts longer since your skin is wet, allowing it to spread easier so you’ll use less. Be sure to apply sunscreen generously since the protection it provides is dependent on how much is applied.

Don’t apply cleanser directly to a wash cloth.
When you apply cleanser directly to a wash cloth (or even a facial sponge), the cloth absorbs a lot of it, and you can never get that excess cleanser back. Instead, apply it to your fingertips, which are far less absorbent so you get the maximum amount of the product on your skin. Just be sure that you wash your hands thoroughly before touching your face.

Apply cleansing lotions to dry skin, not damp skin.
Cleansing lotions are used to remove the layer of the daily oils, makeup, dirt, and debris that have collected on your skin, so it's best to avoid diluting them so they can be most effective.

Use only the appropriate amount of product.
For cleansers, use a nickel size amount, for serums, a dime size, for night cream (face and neck), a nickel size, and for sunscreen, a quarter size for the face and neck. The key here is not to overuse, as your skin can only absorb so much. Think of it like this: Your skin acts as a sponge, it takes in what it needs, and the rest sits on top. You’re just wasting product if you use too much.

Substitute your facial scrub for your cleanser.
One of the benefits of a facial scrub is its cream base, whose cleansing properties allow it to pull double duty — as a scrub and as a cleanser during your morning shower. The dual action of this particular product allows you to save some product, as well as money and time. I recommend my for beautiful, brighter looking skin. My exfoliating facial scrub uses perfectly round particles (a soft jojoba bead) to gently roll across the skin, unlike harsh natural grain scrubs with apricot or walnut husks, which can unnecessarily scratch and irritate the skin. Your skin will look and feel refreshed, renewed and glowing.
