Now that it's officially December, we're declaring it perfectly okay to get swept up in holiday fever — we've got cookies baking, festive tunes playing, and a DIY gift idea for everyone on our list. In the case of the latter though, our ambition probably exceeds our abilities, so we're pretty pumped for Nana's first-ever Handmade Holly Mart on Saturday.
The craft haven will feature almost a dozen Washington-area designers, artists, musicians, crafters, and more, and we can't wait. After all, a handmade gift is pretty sweet — even if it wasn't handmade by you. You'll find everything from dainty metal jewelry by Sarah Cecelia to journals made of Legos from Moonlight Bindery. Local band The Felt Tips will play and drinks and snacks will abound, to keep your shopping energy up. Just don't blame us if you walk away feeling extra-inspired for a super-ambitious round of DIY gifts, next year.
When: Saturday, December 3, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Where: 3068 Mount Pleasant Street NW; 202-667-6955.
