So, here are our picks for the best pools in New York City, to get a little slice of heaven without having to brave the L.I.E.!
1. Tony Dapolito Recreation Center: This outdoor public pool in the heart of the West Village is the best of its kind if you're looking to save a pretty penny. Just don't forget to bring a towel and a lock for your locker! There are also fitness rooms and running tracks, if you're up to do more than just lounging and lazing.

Le Parker Meridien: A full day of R&R at this world-class hotel's pool and spa complex will cost you $50, but the views of Central Park from the sundeck above the glass-encased pool are enough to make you subsequently forget how much money you dropped! Guests have full access to the 17,000-square-foot fitness center and poolside food and beverage service.
