I, like many, have a hard time finding a perfume I love. Sometimes it feels like fragrance is just so ridiculously gendered — unless you want to smell like a sparkly princess or a burly hunter (no judgment), in which case, the world is your oyster. Finding the perfect balance of masculine and feminine is tricky. But, apparently, it's not for Odin.
Odin's newest unisex fragrance, Semma, is everything I've ever wanted to smell like. It's the brand's first tobacco scent, which means it has that warm, semi-sweet feel to it. Not too sweet, though, with top notes of fresh chili pepper that give it a gentle kick. Mixed in is also cinnamon bark, sandalwood, and cloves. All that has the potential to smell like some bad potpourri, but please just trust that I would never recommend something like that to you.

Overall, Semma smells cozy, woodsy, and just a little bit sexy, like it could linger on someone else's fall sweater. It makes me want to hold hands and look at foliage. It also manages to smell autumnal without dropping in any of the cliché fall notes. There's no pumpkin whatsoever: It's more grown-up than that.
Odin is continuing to expand its library of unisex scents, so if for some reason smelling like everything that's good about fall doesn't appeal to you, you should check out what else it has to offer. I'll just be here smelling my wrists while dreaming of fireplaces and flannel.
Odin 11 Semma, $165, available at Odin.
