Sweet Charity: Party For The Pelicans With House of Waris

house-of-waris-party-300
If there is anything that we love more than a Wednesday night party, it's a Wednesday night party with a conscience. So color us delighted when we heard that fashion and jewelry designers are lending a humanitarian hand tomorrow to help out some endangered avians. We implore you to stop by and party for the pelicans (and more) tomorrow night on behalf of The Endangered Species Coalition, who are helping more than 40 endangered species affected by the Gulf of Mexico oil spill. House of Waris creator and gem guru Waris Ahluwalia has gathered a slew of his artsy peeps for a fun-filled night of charitable events, including some of fashion and film's BFFs like Arden Wohl, Tom Sachs, and Leelee Sobieksi—meaning this is one guest-list you want to be on. If you are willing to drop $300, you'll score a seat to the private art screening, but if you only want to rage, it's a slightly cooler $150 for the after-party. Here's one hangover we approve of!

Party For the Pelicans, Wednesday, July 28 from 8 p.m. to midnight; The Wooly, 11 Barclay Street (between Broadway and Church streets); 67-THE-WOOLY
Purchase party tickets here.

Can't make Wednesday's festivities but are still itching to help? Shop the House of Waris Collection at Barneys—a portion of the proceeds this week will go directly to the oil spill wildlife fund. There is nothing like shopping for a cause!
