Weekend Drinking Agenda: Oktoberfest, S.F.-Style

Today marks the first day of Oktoberfest by the Bay. Known worldwide as the ultimate beer festival, San Francisco's version of Munich's popular event will feature non-stop live music, including a 21-piece Bavarian band, singing, folk dancing courtesy of Oakland Nature Friends, and delicious German grub and drinks like Spaten and Franziskaner beer, and gourmet meats and sausages from Saags. The festivities begin in a few hours and last through the weekend, so dust your lederhosen off and get to drinking in the name of the October.
When: Friday, September 30, 5 p.m. to 12 a.m. Saturday, October 1, 11a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
