We know Oliver Peoples for their ever-cool vintage-inspired sunnies, but who knew the eyewear brand was so fond of surf culture, too? It's not like you can really wear shades while cutting through waves, but regardless, the beach-y bonding somehow makes sense.
The two worlds will unite outside of the H20 this Saturday at OP's Malibu location, when legendary surf photographer Jeff Divine will orate a brief history of the sport. After that, he'll sign his stunning photo anthologies Surfing Photographs from the Seventies and Surfing Photographs from the Eighties.
Whether you’re up to date on all things surf-related, or you’re feeling newly inspired by Jeff’s amazing photos (isn't that shot above gravity-defyingly craaazy?), head to Malibu for a fun and informative arts-and-culture get-together. Space is limited, so RSVP, stat — and pick yourself up some seaside-friendly shades while you’re there, natch.
When: Saturday, April 21, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Where: Oliver Peoples Malibu, 3900 Cross Creek Road No. 8 (at Pacific Coast Highway), RSVP by calling 310-456-1333.
