The Missonis are much more than just half the collaborators of so-affordable-it's-hysteria-inducing zig-zag clothes and home goods. Oh, no — they're also geriatric athletes! Ottavio Missoni, an original founder of the knitwear brand, recently competed in the Italian track and field championship in Cosenza in the over-90 age category. The senior slinger won a gold medal in shot put and javelin, and silver medal in discus. Before WWII, Ottavio was an international track and field star, qualifying for the 1948 Olympics in 400m hurdles, where he also made wool tracksuits for the Italian team. (WWD)
