Bianca Jagger, Jerry Hall, and Angela Bowie must be having a serious case of déjà-vu lately—it seems everywhere we turn there's some studded leather, fierce fringe, or super-spiky heels. If Assad Mounser's fall '10 collection is anything to go by, this glam-rock trend is still going strong. In fact, jewelry designer (and prolific blogger) Amanda Mounser cites that trifecta of rock-royalty wives as the inspiration behind her eponymous line (her middle name is Assad). The NYC-based creator, an alum of both Moschino and Alejandro Ingelmo, is no stranger to rock 'n' roll: Her previous offerings have referenced everything from David Bowie's "Space Oddity," Veruschka, and the cult movie Mahogany. It's no wonder then that her fall loot is a paean to excess—each piece was designed to look like it could be found in a '70s jewelry box belonging to a lady who spent serious time at Studio 54. A lavish bohemian vibe runs rampant throughout the collection, featuring antiqued, bronzed components mixed with crystals, turquoise, lava rock, and glistening metals. We especially love her use of found objects: The tricked-out bullets, cross pendants, and trompe-l'œil chains make a statement that's equal parts bad-ass biker and lady-who-lunches. Lady Gaga would be jealous.
