Every girl needs a little vintage in her life. Whether it's a vintage Chanel tweed jacket, a '50s printed waist-cinching skirt, or gilded jewels from eras past, the fact that you're wearing a one-of-a-kind piece of history just makes your outfit that much more ooh and aah worthy. That's why we are sharpening our vintage-spotting skills for the pop-up marketplace, A Current Affair on Friday, December 10th and Saturday, December 11th. Hosted by filmmaker Liz Goldwyn, this second annual fashion event in downtown L.A.'s fashion district will be a treasured collective of vintage apparel, jewelry, shoes, and accessories from over 25 premiere vintage retailers and private dealers from Los Angeles. "Exhibitors at A Current Affair feature not only signature designer vintage (Alaïa, Balmain, Chanel, Lanvin, and Yves Saint Laurent, just to name a few), but also historically significant wardrobe, modern bohemian, and luxe classics." Host Goldwyn's curated installation of her favorite looks from the show will be on display and available for purchase, along with a signing of her latest book, Pretty Things: The Last Generation of American Burlesque Queens. With a $10 admission to get in, you'll leave with something priceless: the right to brag. Let the oohs and aahs begin!
