Watch: Perfume Reviews Just Got Real

The Pumpkin Spice Latte has arrived, which means fall is officially upon us. So, could there possibly be a better time to change up your scent? After all, a quick spritz of our scarves or favorite sweaters can add a much-needed dose of comfort (or clean) on a cool day. And, along with a change of seasons, a new perfume can also reflect a change of heart.
Alas, we live in a world where a new fragrance launches more often than someone posts a selfie on your Instagram feed. How do you sort what's good from what's, well, not?

To help, we grabbed six of autumn's notable launches and poured them into unmarked vials — stripping them of their bottles, and thus, of the clever logos and marketing ploys that change the way we may perceive our products.
Then, we put them in front of six of our most scrutinizing staffers — including our beauty editor, a few perfume newbies, and one R29er with a history of liking rather questionable smells. In this blind test, fondly dubbed Perfume Pop Quiz, they reveal their real thoughts on these scents.
Watch the video above to find out which one smells like "not a girl, not yet a woman," and which one's more "vegan cookies in a bottle." We trust that you'll find, through the colorful imaginations of our employees, at least one that's worth trying for yourself.
