Toss a pizza and a cocktail our way and you’ve just made us very happy, carb-loving campers. Trust us, we are not fibbing here. And one of our fave joints for dough-y pies and lip-smackin' libations? Oakland’s very own Pizzaiolo, of course. But, what’s better than dining in the delicious, dimly lit Temescal resto? Hitting up its bocce-ball filled backyard for a pig roasting, live jams, drinks, and more! Yep, the lauded pizzeria is celebrating its seven-year anniversary (congrats, guys!) with a blowout bash. Psshh...there's always room for two terrific celebrations tomorrow, right?
It goes down on July 4th (of all days) — in case traditional BBQ food is sounding snoozy. The California Honeydrops will be on-site providing the tunes and it’s $20 bucks at the door, so bring cash. Well, we think you know where to catch us on America-slash-Pizzaiolo’s birthday. Hopefully, we’ll see you there.
When: Wednesday, July 4, 3 to 8 p.m.
Where: Pizzaiolo, 5008 Telegraph Avenue (between 49th and 51st streets), Oakland; 510-652-4888.
Price: $20 at door.
