We Found A New Resto That Offers Pig Candy To Strangers

It wasn’t long ago that we couldn’t pilot into Little Osaka for a feast that wasn’t top ramen or sushi. But an invite to the inaugural tasting of Plan Check, Chef Ernesto Uchimura’s (Umami Burger) new resto seated off Sawtelle, changed all that. Especially when we heard Steve Livigni and Pablo Moix, (the duo responsible for launching a thousand sips over at Harvard & Stone) were behind the bar, crafting lip-smacking libations like the Spaghetti Western.
We predict Umami purists will flock to this comfort-food fairground mainly for the Southern Fried Jidori Chicken and the Bleuprint Burger, which boasts sweet buns topped with panko crunchy goodness and pig candy. Yes, pig candy, which we’ve come to understand, is the Brad Pitt of bacon.
