Tuesday's the new Thursday, or something like that. At least such was the case this week, when what seemed like every fashionable Mexican person in the city hit up Project Paz, a benefit that raised over $140,000 for after-school programs for children in Ciudad Juárez.
Among the Spanish speaking style stars — we spotted Alejandro Ingelmo, Eugenia Gonzalez Ruiz-Olloqui, and the First Lady of Mexico, Margarita Zavala — las hermanas Stephens were the ones we came back to once, twice...maybe three times, to ask where they got their belts, dresses, bags...everything. Which makes sense, given that Phoebe and Annette Stephens are the very visionary sisters behind Anndra Neen, the cult-jewelry line that's rustic-glam and high on impact. The girls paired can't-miss-'em bangles from their own line with belted, Mexican fringed fabric dresses, for a tunic effect that's less toga, more hot tamale. Besides their fresh faces (Covergirl commercial, anyone?), we can't look away from that Anndra Neen metal bag—somehow the '80s-amazingness-meets-artisan works with the rest of the outfit. Don't worry, we have their emails.
Missed the event but still want to help (fashionably)? Check out these special leather bracelets — 100% of the proceeds go to Project Paz.
