There’s just no getting around it — awkward family photos are an inevitable part of the holiday season…and perhaps even life. They are hilarious, albeit embarrassing, familial moments captured in time and usually (make that hopefully) intended for relative's eyes only. Well, that wasn’t exactly the case when Randi Zuckerberg accidentally shared a private pic with her 40,000 Facebook subscribers. The image depicts the Zuckerberg clan gathering around and reacting to the new “Poke” feature, which by the looks on their faces, seems pretty damn riveting.
Immediately after, Vox Media’s Callie Schweitzer shared Zuckerberg’s pic on Twitter, only to receive instant backlash from Zuckerberg, citing it was “way uncool” to post said snap. But wait, let’s tackle the real issue here: Does this mean Randi Zuckerberg is just as befuddled with the privacy settings as we are? Well, if she is, she certainly is not admitting any fault on Facebook’s behalf, telling Schweitzer that it’s not about digital privacy or etiquette, but rather human decency. Ouch! (HuffPo)
