Raquel Welch, whose gorgeous face is going to be appearing in CSI: Miami this week, thinks we all need a cold shower. In lamenting how oversexed the younger generation has become, the 71-year-old star says "I think we've gotten to the point in our culture where we're all sex addicts, literally. We have equated happiness in life with as many orgasms as you can possibly pack in." Huh. There's no denying that Generation Y doesn't bat an eye at seeing an all-but-exposed bosom on TV, or peeping David Beckham nearly naked in a billboard — in fact, many of us (ahem) might even let our gazes linger. Welch herself is no stranger to a teeny bikini. But is having a blasé attitude toward sex the same thing as being a sex addict? Is a happy life all about the almighty O for us? Being constantly bombarded with racy images that leave little (or nothing) to the imagination can have the same effect as photoshopped magazine covers: the unrealistic physical expectations we're confronted with make our very normal selves feel abnormal. But taking the dirty deed out of the bedroom and out into the open can also make us more comfortable with our own sexualities, and can even help us make safer and more responsible choices. We want to know what you think — have we all become addicted to sex, or is Welch a little too stuck in the past?
