Yes, New York Fashion Week is, finally, mercifully over. But, there's no rest for the weary. Today, London calls. And, while we'll certainly be occupied once we land (up first is an Opening Ceremony preview), we wanted to sharpen our British accent by introducing Red by Wolves, a new label from the other side of the pond. Designed by Cordwainers graduate Lena Lipp, the line of handcrafted shoes merges a traditional English approach with sharply defined silhouettes and a Louis-XIV style heel. For fall '09, Lipp plays with ideas of metamorphosis in shoes that gradually grow into something different. Take the bi-functional "Amber" Boot, which worn folded or straight is definitely Daisy (or Peaches) friendly. And by the way, stay tuned to our coverage to see if/when we bump into either one.
