New York Ranger hockey player Sean Avery was in and out of the news all summer during 2008 for interning at Vogue, which led to a guest editing stint at Men's Vogue. The buzz around the fashion jock's been pretty quiet since then, but Avery's returning to the spotlight to do a weekly feature for Gilt Man tiled "Avery's Rules"—a nod to "The Sean Avery Rule", a controversial but effective hockey move in which Avery, to distract a goalie, waved his arms like a five year old in imminent trouble (seriously). Hopefully, his Gilt Man series will be far less annoying than its hockey namesake move. (WWD)
