Finally, a way for us to marry our love of art history and nail polish: The latest Rescue Beauty Lounge lacquers are based on the life and works of Georgia O'Keeffe. The collection — which goes on sale in July, but is on pre-order starting in June — is a labor of love for founder Ji Baek, who spent the past 128 days "living, breathing, dreaming, and channeling Georgia O’Keeffe."
Best known for her paintings of flowers that also look a bit like your lady bits, O'Keeffe may not seem like the most obvious choice for nail-polish inspiration. But according to Baek, she was the perfect starting point: The colors in her paintings were so rich and vivid, Baek says looking at them "intoxicated me daily with color-gasms." Well, that's one way to put it.

Each of the seven colors — Bella Donna, Faraway Nearby, Abiquiu, Santa Fe Road, Oriental Poppy, Ghost Ranch, and Jack In The Pulpit — are inspired by a specific work or a profound aspect of O'Keeffe's life. Standouts include Oriental Poppy, a vibrant crimson with gold shimmer that is possibly the most perfect summer red we've ever laid eyes on, and metallic cocoa Ghost Ranch, inspired by O'Keeffe's home in the Southwest, an avant-garde neutral we can't wait to get on our tips. Watch the "nail trailer" below to get a sneak peek at the collection, and a rare behind-the-scenes look at how Baek lovingly created it.
Rescue Beauty Lounge Georgia On My Mind Collection, $18 each, available for pre-order in June at Rescue Beauty Lounge.
