We have to admit, the original "Diamonds" didn't exactly blow us away. Maybe it was the Rihanna del Rey delivery, maybe it's just that it wasn't another "We Found Love." Whatever the case, we've been won over with a new front-loaded remix featuring the always-reliable Kanye West.
If Ye's verse in the beginning reminds you of the time Jay-Z gave her an intro, rest easy. Unlike H.O.V.'s less-than-steller contribution to "Umbrella" ("coming down with Dow Jones..."), Kanye gives the track a minute and 40 of top form egomaniacal flow. He even goes vintage with his ride ("It just looks stupid to be ignoring the Delorean parked in front of Armani emporium."), proving that when a hit isn't quite up to par, Yeezy can bring things back to the future. When it comes to the original, though, we'll still take Zola Jesus' cover any day.
