There are a slew of brunching options in the Magic City, but landing a spot with a sick view and solid parking has always been a fantasy of ours. Well, $9 million later, the Rusty Pelican is no longer just host to weddings and quinces, it’s now a part of our regular brunch rotation.
The restaurant’s new menu, by chef Michael Gilligan, debuts June 16 and, nom nom, there are a lot of “Brunchy Things” to choose from. (Seriously, that’s how the menu is titled.) If you’re a traditionalist and like your midday meal with an eggs benedict, we suggest you give the crab cake option a try. Really, is there any better hangover cure than chilling waterside, munching on the ocean’s finest? And, if you’ve got a wicked sweet tooth, channel your childhood with blueberry or chocolate chip pancakes. Adventurist? There’s the duck confit with a Neuske bacon hash and fried duck egg on top. Daring...yet delicious!

And, what’s brunch without a cocktail (or two)? Just a late breakfast or a boring lunch, duh! Add a Biscayne Julep or a Pelican Caipirinha to your order to get a nice midday buzz goin'. Weekend warriors, we promise this is your new way to unwind after an eventful evening.
