Saks’ Shoe Salon (So Big, It Has Its Own Zip Code) Just Got Bigger

If you think that it would be hard to expand a store that's already large enough to have its own zip code, you’re wrong. The Saks Fifth Avenue shoe salon, appropriately named 10022-SHOE, will be adding another 10,000-square-feet to its already massive sprawl.
The addition will draw new brands to the eighth-floor shoe boutique, including R29 faves like Carven, Jason Wu, Joseph Altuzarra, Pierre Hardy, Proenza Schouler, and Rachel Comey. Excuse us while we pick our jaws up from the floor — “excited” doesn’t even begin to describe how we feel about this. The new labels will make Saks’ footwear assortment “more balanced [and] less dependent on big brands and formal offerings,” according to WWD. If you're one who favors old faithful silhouettes, though, you’re still in luck. Chanel, Prada, Louboutin, and other loyal friends can still be found amongst the newbies. If this isn't enough to perk up your Monday morning, we don’t know what will. (WWD)
