There's nothing wrong with a nice v-neck on a guy. A white number from Vince. A faded blue version from James Perse. Even something a bit edgier from O.C., perhaps. But when it comes to the cleavage-baring T-shirts we've seen at American Apparel (though we l-o-v-e their regular v-necks) and on the cast members of The A-List, we're giving 'em two thumbs way down.
Apparently, SNL agrees. Ben Stiller brought back Derek Zoolander for an appearance on this weekend's episode, where he challenged a sartorially experimenting Andy Samberg to a deep V-neck walk-off in what's sure to be a viral SNL Digital Short. From the "Double V" to "The Negative," and a stretch that goes all the way down to Stiller's sweet-spot, the results are a cautionary tale on how low is too low. The fact that this takes place at the West Village Rag & Bone store makes it all the more ridiculous — unless they happen to sell a shirt we don't know about.
