Met Ball, Met Ball, Met Ball. We know, we've been talking about it. A. Lot. But, you can't really blame us, what with the red-carpet anticipation, the celebrated designers, and a few other exciting announcements preceding NYC's chic Costume Institute soiree. However, Prada is offering one more piece of memorabilia to hold onto way past the gala hangover.
In honor of Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations and the history of Miuccia's namesake label, Prada has recreated designs of the past and is offering them up in one exciting current collection. The bags will be rereleases of the biggest hits from 1991 to 2005, and they'll only be available in limited quantities in Prada store locations in NYC — in case you're in town for the Met fête. Designs include a royal-purple satin number from '91 and a clutch from '03 that's covered in what's become on of the Italian house's iconic prints. The only other chance you may have to own this dose of nostalgia may require a few thorough crawls through your favorite vintage shops (and certainly a bit of luck).
