Hayes Valley is about to get a little tastier next month with the opening of Schulzies Bread Pudding. Intrigued? Us, too.
The first S.F. outpost for the Venice-based company will be flinging open its doors in mid-February, but if you can't wait that long to sample the offerings of a business solely (brilliantly) focused on bread pudding, we've got a treat in store for you tomorrow night. That's when the folks behind Schulzies will be setting up shop at SoMa watering hole Bloodhound with a "Bread Pudding, Bourbon, and Beer" event, benefitting Strive For, a local youth-mentoring non-profit.

For $6 a pop you can taste a "flight" of bread pudding flavors, including the likes of Butter Me Up Biscotti, Chocolate Coconut Love, Badass Banana Chocolate, and others. Meanwhile, that flight can be paired with bourbon for $15. And you can knock a dollar off of either of those options if you mention Refinery29 when you're ordering. You are welcome.
Oh, and another event bonus: It'll be the debut of a custom Isotope Comics flavor, named after Schulzies new S.F. neighbor. Also, if you want to master bread pudding in your home kitchen, make sure you mark your calendar for February 18, when Schulzies founder Sarah Schulz will be giving a "Forget your pies, it's time for pudding" demo at Bloomingdale's.
