There's perfume...and then there are the exquisite fragrances created by renowned French perfumer Serge Lutens. Hailed by fragrance experts as the "hero of the scent industry," Serge Lutens has been crafting his luxe scents since the early 1990s. (Our L.A. editor, Brenna Egan, swears by his Fleur D'Orange scent.) Previously only available at his Salon du Palais Royale boutique in Paris (a perfume store in the garden of a Parisian palace? Mais oui!), the cloche-shaped bottles were previously considered status symbols, as they connotated a trip to the City of Lights. We were lucky enough to get a sniff of the Iris Silver Mist scent (pictured), and loved how the mysterious fragrance made us want to stroll the banks of the Seine with a handsome Frenchman.

Finally, New Yorkers (and NYC visitors!) can get in on these oh so merveilleux fragrances without crossing the Atlantic. Starting today, August 15, 34 of the signature Palais du Royale fragrances will be available exclusively at the Barneys New York Madison Avenue Flagship store. The fragrances are expected to be so popular that they have their own phone line, but you can count on us to be lined up on Madison to get our sniff of Lutens! You can just pretend you bought a ticket to Paris.
Serge Lutens Fragrance Collection, $280-300 each, available at Barneys New York, 660 Madison Avenue (at 61st Street); 212-833-2425.
