Just Opened: Seven New York

It seems like a lifetime ago that Seven New York closed its doors on Orchard Street with the promise of a new space "coming soon" (in reality, it was only last January). Well, we can all breathe a sigh of relief because their new space at 110 Mercer Street is everything we hoped it would be—and more. All of the hallmarks of Seven's previous location can be found in their new, significantly larger storefront in the heart of SoHo, from avant-garde European designs for men and women to the gallery space in back with continuously changing exhibits. The list of designers carried here features the crème de la crème of adventurous fashion, highlighted by Imitation of Christ's men's line (Seven New York is the only store in the U.S. to carry it), House of Waris, and Cosmic Wonder. One thing runs consistent throughout their selection, the obvious thought and passion that went into each garment—Seven New York is a haven for people who take their fashion seriously. Casual dressers be damned.
Followers of beloved boutique Seven are literally getting a big gift this season, as childhood friends Joseph Quartana, Steve Sang, and John Demas host their long-awaited reopening (read: larger space!) this week in SoHo.
