As we've mentioned before, Viktor & Rolf eschewed a physical runway show this season in favor of a virtual catwalk—a move meant to cut costs, save headaches, and make the experience more egalitarian (no more seating charts, woohoo!). Well, we finally booted up www.viktor-rolf.com today, sat back in our virtual front row seat at their spring/summer presentation. Clothing aside, which this season was an explosion of jewel-inspired looks, show itself was in contrast a peaceful treat with one of our fave models of all time, Shalom Harlow, serving as solo cat-walker. The camera zoomed in on details—the seams on a pair of coral shorts, the enamel embellishments on a dress, the shoes. But Harlow was really the strongest detail of all…a nice switch from those uber-air-brushed Tiffany & Co. ads. If you could only pick one model to display your whole collection, could you really do any better?
