Lovely Cased 12 Piece Vintage Sheffield Chrome Stainless Fish Cutlery Set With Faux Bone Handles

A lovely vintage fish cutlery set comprising six place settings (forks and knives). Each piece is made from chrome stainless steel with a cream faux bone handle with fine long line detail. The beautifully designed blades of the knives and forks have typical Art Deco engraved lines, and the faux bone handles are 'layered' with square edges. Made in Sheffield, England, there is a round silver manufacturer sticker inside the canteen. Each piece is stamped on the back with words 'Chrome Plate'. Presented in its original red decorative box lined with cream faux silk fabric (v.g.c. with just one tiny rust spot). Hinges and brass clasps work well. Overall in good vintage condition with the case showing some wear, and there are minor tiny scratches on the steel of some pieces, both commesurate with age and usage. One knife's handle has a small damaged area (see photo). A lovely gift or a great addition to your vintage tableware. Dimensions: Canteen (case) 34 x 22 cm approx.
