Yes, yes—trade shows aren't everyone's bag. Indeed, most of these buyers-meet-producers events are about as fun as a afternoon at the DMV. But Capsule, the seasonal show held in Paris, Las Vegas, and here at the Lower East Side's Angel Orensanz Center is different—in part because of the company and the surroundings and, mostly, because of great discoveries like these.

Yukatan Japan by way of Maine Shoe Line—Okay, maybe it's 13 years old, but since their new to us, Yukatan's winter-weather boots were the best discovery of the day. Boots like these haven't been seen since the '40s. Leave to the Japanese to bring forgotten American classics back to life.
