We're always thrilled to hear about companies creating beautiful products while doing good for the world. And 6 Shore Road is no exception. An NYC-based label specializing in beach cover-ups, 6 Shore Road is launching a limited-edition Weekend Turban this spring to benefit Fashion Fights Cancer. The turban — done in pink as a tribute to cancer patients — will retail for $45 and 100% of its profits will go to nurturing the minds, bodies, and souls of those fighting the disease.
The pink turban will make its debut this Saturday, May 4, at the EIF Revlon Run/Walk for Women. Founder and designer, Pooja Kharbanda and her 6 Shore Road team will walk in Central Park wearing customized T-shirts and the eye-catching headpiece. This will be the third year that Kharbanda has participated in the Revlon Run/Walk in honor of her mother, who was diagnosed in 2011 with mouth cancer and, today, lives cancer-free.
If all these causes aren't enough to take the leap into the turban-wearing world — it can be scary, we understand — just take a look. Pictures don't lie. The turban is beautiful.
