Fun Thursday Must Do: Speed Skating & Dating At The Union Square Rink

sf-rink-embed
Here's an awesome way to break the ice and meet a someone special just in time for the holiday season! The Union Square Ice Rink is hosting a Speed Dating Skating event (yes, there is such a thing) tonight. The event, which “was intended to be a silly riff on speed dating,” is asking all single S.F.-ers to join in on the fun, dress up in our most unusual holiday-inspired sweaters, and skate our way straight into the arms of love (or, more likely, into the arms of a kind stranger who will help break our fall). In addition to all the matchmaking fun, the first 100 guests will get free mistletoe headbands. And of course, the Emporio Rulli Il Caffe (which is located next to the rink) will be selling booze to keep you entertained. We may not be able to master a triple lutz (or any kind of lutz at all), but this is exactly the kind of triple threat we're into. Peep the deets below.

When: Thursday, December 1, from 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Where: Union Square Ice Rink, 333 Post Street (between Geary and Powell streets); 415-781-2688.
Price: Admission is $10, Skate rental is $5.
