A Beyond-Easy Way To Create Your Own Custom Lip Color

As much as we like to fancy ourselves mixologists, anyone who's ever had the misfortune of testing out our clumsy attempts at a homemade mango mojito knows otherwise. Hey, how were we supposed to know there's not supposed to be vermouth in there. What's that you say? There are books full of recipes for that? Oh...whoops.

But, it's not just our libations where we have mixing drama. The same can unfortunately be said for our makeup mixology — we love the idea of blending our own custom eye and lip hues, but every time we attempt it at home, we end up with colors that are either muddy or just not all that pretty. Kind of defeats the purpose, no?

We were starting to think all those articles about doubling our lipstick wardrobe by mixing our own colors were total BS, until Stila pro makeup artist Sarah Lucero showed us the error of our ways.
