We've been on the lookout for a great pair of leather shorts for a while now. These Urban Outfitters gams came pretty darn close to getting it right. But we're picky (don't you know) and happen to harbor an irrational fear of being swept up into the Hell's Angels (rough company does not always suit us). We'd all but given up hope on our leather shorts fantasies until we stumbled upon Strummer, a fairly new Sydney-based line. Their demure dove-gray pair was so picture-perfect that we had to take a closer look at their entire fall '09 collection, and while our eyes thank us for digging deeper, our bank accounts might soon have a problem. There's a hand-stitched leather a-line mini skirt that looks like something out of a Cher tour, knit body suits that are perfectly in step with the crochet comeback we've been rambling about, and a super-cute pair of brown woven shoes. Sure the mash-up of leather, denim, and crochet can be a little random, but their soft take on rock chic strike just the right balance of badass and beautiful.
